I have opinions, and unfortunately for you, you got this email in your inbox! So settle in, you are about to hear my opinions on the top 5 food trends so far in 2025. I promise this article won’t go on too long, I’ll keep it brief, but I have to share what I think!
The Dubai Chocolate-ification of literally everything
Is it time to give it up? But, I can’t get on here and say that Dubai Chocolate isn't delicious! I had it back in 2024, and I for sure thought that the trend would fizzle out… news flash, it didn’t! The concept is great, but I’m kind of over it. But if you aren’t, go check out The Golden Nut in Columbia Heights, that was the best one I tried.
“XYZ” Flight
Can I admit that I’m a fan of this? The creativity is so amazing to me, and the possibilities are endless. My personal favorite is the egg flight because it’s such a neutral base that can hold so many flavors! I regret to inform you that I haven’t tried this yet, even though it was trending early this year. But, maybe August is my time to try some internet trend foods!
Snack Plates
I am a snack plate fanatic for so many reasons! Don’t know exactly what you want to eat? Snack plate. Need a little snack because it’s an awkward time, and you don’t want a whole meal? Snack plate. Zero energy to cook? Snack plate. I could go on, but then we would have a whole article about the applications of a snack plate. I think of all the trends, this is the most accessible and versatile, and maybe the one I love most!
The LA Fruit Pastries
I’m jealous… partially. Because some look very delicious, while others look like straight mousse filling. Personally, the ones I would like to try are the raspberry and the lemon desserts. I noticed that in most of the videos I’ve seen about these, those two types are the most well-liked. I totally wish that they had these in MN because I would love to try them, even if they don’t live up to the hype.
Crumbl Cookie
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the ever-popular Crumbl! I’m going to be honest here, it’s overrated. For how expensive it is, it should always be delicious, but half the time, the flavors aren’t the best! I get the appeal, it’s pretty and sweet and generally a crowd pleaser, but it’s just not my favorite!
And this leads me to say, The Monthly Dozen by Bakes By Bates is returning in September!! I’m so excited to reveal some new and delicious flavors (that don’t break the bank)!
Again, thank you so much for reading and listening to my opinions, even if you didn’t want to… lol! Be ready for some awesome articles the rest of the summer and this fall/winter, I’m so excited to share some new recipes with you all!
As always, drop a comment with new article ideas!
